Brief historical Journey that led to this conference
World Backup Day is a global event celebrated annually in different countries to create awareness on the importance of keeping our data safe, to promote regular data backup, protection, privacy, archiving, data security and integrity.
However, with the support of Federal Ministry of Information & Digital Economy (FMoCDE), Nig eria joined the rest of world to mark the year 2020 event which was followed by all inclusive One Day National Symposium held at Merit House Maitama Abuja to commemorate the 2021 World Backup Day aimed at sensitizing Nigerians on the need for a regular backup of their data to avoid the risk of data loss.
The event was well attended by several stakeholders among which are representatives of Hon. Minister of Communications & Digital Economy, NITDA, NCC, Galaxy Backbone, State House, Huwaei, Federal Ministry of Justice, FRSC, CBN, Nigerian Airforce, Nigerian Immigration Service, Head of Service of the Federation, SGF, Ministry of Women Affairs, NEPZA, NIPC, NEPC, JAIZ Bank among others including Media Houses.
One of the outcomes of the 2021 World Backup Day commemoration is the resolution to organize:
